Tired of all the trimmings? Try Cornish Chicken’s Christmas ideas…

Christmas dinner does not always have to be the classic roast with the usual accompaniments. If you’ve already made the leap from traditional turkey to succulent Cornish chicken, why stop there? Play about with the whole dinner. Try new things with the trimmings, add a touch of spice, cook your chicken in a different way. But…

First find your chicken…

I’ll be selling our Cornish chickens at the Farmers’ Market in Penzance on 9 and 16 December and at Helston on 3 and 17 December. If you want to collect directly from me, I’ll be at the farm on 23 December – please contact me to arrange this.

Don’t forget, Cornish Chicken also supplies some great local farm shops: Bailey’s Country Store in Penryn, Lobbs Farm Shop at Heligan, and Higher Trenowin Farm in Nancledra (between Penzance and St Ives).

However you choose to cook your Cornish chicken this Christmas, I hope you enjoy it! Please let me know how you served your chicken, and send me your recipe ideas and tips – we’re always on the look-out for different festive suggestions! And in the meantime, please keep your eye on the Journal for some fun and different ways to cook your chicken this Christmas.
